I am currently reading or studying a couple of books. One is Waking the Dead by John Eldridge. What a great book. He presents some ideas that really go against things I have believed for a long time. I will talk about this in future posts.

AG and I are reading Spiritual Classics by Richard Foster. Each chapter of the book features a writing by a Christian writer from early times or recent times. We study a chapter each week and meet on Saturday mornings to discuss the chapter over coffee at the Coffee Society in Chandler. This morning Aaron joined us and we had a very good discussion on the writing of Marguerite Porete. This chapter was her description of the 7 stages of Christian growth. After our discussion, we enjoyed some games of chess.

Unfortunately, our small fellowship did not officially meet this week but we will meet next Friday night at a currently undetermined location.
