Greetings!
What a great God we serve! A new year has begun!
Please join us in regularly lifting up our city,
county, state, and country to the Lord in prayer for
spiritual
renewal.
We can be joyful in the blessings we see daily from
our Lord, but still understand that there are
battles ahead that will not be easy. For some this
year will bring new challenges that will require
extreme faith and trust in the Lord to get through.
We must keep the faith and live holy lives
demonstrating the fruit that will come from that
kind of living. Let your neighbors and coworkers
see it in you. Let this year be one where you build
strong and Godly relationships that reflect the
Glory of God to those around you. Resolve this year
to follow Christ. Read this
article by Brent
Barnett.
You will see in this newsletter news from one of our
own who joined the Navy. We have a new valley-wide
gathering planned. I also have some resources to
share. Don't miss any of this newsletter.

Prayer Requests (and Praises)
|
|
From the Phoenix house churches
Please remember these requests in your prayers:
- The young sailor in the picture is none other than
our own Aaron Spence. He graduated from Navy boot
camp at Great Lakes, IL early this month and has now
been
transferred to Pensacola, FL for his job training.
After that, only God knows. Lets cover him with prayer.
- Doreen of Jesus
Cares Ministries in Chandler has informed us
that they may have to shut down their mens program.
The pastor who has been overseeing the program is
getting married and they need someone to stay on the
property to oversee the program. They are talking
to a local church about partnering with them.
Please pray for God's wisdom in this for both the
church and the ministry.
- Continue to pray the Luke 10:2b prayer. Ask Him to
send the house churches of Phoenix into His harvest
field. Ask for spiritual renewal within the house
churches of Phoenix.
- Vernie Abbitt is continuing to recover from
injuries suffered during a mission trip last year.
Please
keep him in your prayers.
- Praise God for those taking part in the Valley's
Saturday Morning Mountain Top Prayer Campaign.
Be there on Feb. 3 to pray for your city.
- For the 16 year old daughter of one of our
brothers to find peace and come to Christ.
- Larry's coworker Phil still recovering from heart
attacks and a stroke. He has been on disability and
has had some challenges with the insurance causing
some serious financial problems. Please keep him in
your prayers.
If you have a prayer request that you would like to
send to the Phoenix Area House Churches, please send
an email to me
and I will be glad to send it out with a newsletter.

This begins the 2nd year for the newsletter. I
pray that we have in some way encouraged the house
churches of Phoenix with content that has been
glorifying to God. As we go on through this year, I
humbly ask everyone to keep me posted on things
going on, new fellowships, prayer requests, praises,
and anything else that would be good to distribute
to all of the house churches. Don't forget to go up on
a mountaintop on Feb. 3 and pray for your city and
county.
God bless,
Larry Johnson
