It has been a year since I wrote the first post on this blog. I have posted since but for some reason, something went wrong with the blog and the earlier posts were corrupted and lost.

A lot has happened during the year and I won’t go over it in detail. Suffice it to say that God brought my family through some very trying times.

Our daughter was divorced early last year. Her now ex is in the US Army. Although we were not very happy about it and its affect on our two grand-daughters, we still love our daughter. We have stayed very close to her, making frequent trips to Tennessee where she lives.

In October, I got laid off from my job only to be brought back in another position that has been a huge blessing.

Sue’s mom passed away in January. We have weathered that crisis with faith that she is in a much better place with a new resurrected body.

So I will again try to continue posting. But it will be on a variety of subjects, not only house church.

Welcome to the new WordPress hosted blog for the East Valley House Church. Since this is my first attempt at a WordPress blog hosted on Godaddy, it will be under construction for a time.

The intent is to learn how to set up these hosted blogs and at the same time, put my thoughts down about house church in general.

We are in the east valley of the Phoenix, AZ area. We are currently 4 families that meet on Sundays around 11:30am for a meal and our church fellowship time. We are all pretty mature Christians and sometimes struggle because we are not always on the same page doctrinally. But we all love Christ and we all agree that that is the most important thing and is what brings us together.

I’ll talk more about this later.
